I started "life" as a mechanic and have always been a tool guy. I never really thought much about "collectable" tools until a couple years ago when I ran across a set of old "Williams" wrenches at a flea market. I always knew Williams tools were of high quality but this set intrigued me....

The guy was asking $6.00 for the set but settled for $5.00.
Found that they were a military set from the 40's for a Jeep. Looked like they were lightly used since much of the paint was still present. I eventually ran into a Jeep fanatic who needed the set so they went to his collection.

That episode started my search for old hand tools. I'm a Euro motorcycle rider so now I'm always on the lookout for old DIN 895 tools and automotive / motorcycle specific wrenches. It has become a great hobby.

i have quite a few of those wrenches too and really like how well made they are.

Welcome to the forum and in case you didn't already know this your tool collection will grow quite a bit if you stick around to learn and teach us what you know.
