I don't see a difference between these and the ones that have been around for a while??

Either way, you won't be disappointed. Great pliers, I carry them instead of an adjustable wrench when out in the woods. The 7" (180mm) ones will take off a 27mm axle nut off my KTM.

EDIT:

Looks like they have new 15deg angles ones for the 10" size. Also looks like they removed the 12" size from their lineup?

Yes. Hand clearance next to other things. Such as some other protruding part. Also you can put two , one angled one straight right next to each other on a large nut or next to a pipe wrench etc. and have space to grip the handles better.

Seems backwards to me. That orientation gives your knuckles room when tightening clockwise, but is worse when turning counter-clockwise.
