I stopped by the local big blue and big orange stores this morning to see if they had anything I couldn’t live without that I didn’t notice in the BF ads.
both of them have new Kreg jig designs. They do the same thing as the older K4 designs…that is, they clamp a board and provide a drill guide for your to run their special drill bit into the board at a particular angle. It appears it is mostly the ease of use factor that this new design is promising.
ive generally regarded kreg joints as being a strong joint for those of us who are too lazy or too incompetent to use traditional joinery. I count myself in that population. I own a k4 jig and I’ve used it quite a bit, but not for any furniture grade things that are used in the house. It’s mostly for things in the garage or shop.
any takers on the new kreg fixture?
