We have launched "Polyurea Lite" and Polyurea Etch & Seal Kits. Polyurea Lite kits were designed to be a less expensive option than our original Polyurea kits. Instead of using the spread rate we believe in, we utilized a higher spread rate. This gives an apples to apples comparison option to what our competitors have done for years. We are also offering it with a Polyurea base.

Etch & Seal kits are exactly what they sound like. If you are not overly concerned with aesthetics but want to protect the floor, we launched a kit that includes cleay polyurea for sealant and a chemical etching compound for surface prep. Many love the look and will even enhance it with a second coat.

More about Polyurea Lite

Why?
For years we have defended our pricing explaining that the only way to give you a polyurea floor for less is to give you less Polyurea. Our original kits utilize a spread rate of 200 SF / Gallon. This spread rate is the point of diminishing return. Spread it thinner and you lose quality. You can spread it thicker, but you are better off just using another coat.

How? We spent some time confirming that the base materials in certain competitors kits were 'virtually identical' to ours. We then matched up kit for kit the amount of included Polyurea and added the epoxy base option. That said we still include anti-skid and more flake than many competitors kits. The anti skid is included because we don't want anyone to get hurt. The flake is included because it give you more options for installation.

We believe their is a greater risk of complications when spreading the Polyurea over larger areas. For newer floors that are acid etched it works well, but we believe the longevity will suffer. We also Believe that colors other than gray may see bleed through. To combat this we have offered a texture leveling epoxy base coat as an option - at this point we believe our two coat kits are a better option.

It about as perfect a solution you will find for someone who loves working in the garage but doesn’t think they care about the garage floor 🤣

It’s also as you stated an amazing look. We have kitchens, commercial buildings etc that are just stunning

For this Etch and Seal kit, how well would it work to fully finish a floor in sections. I have a 1260sqft garage, completely emptying it just isn't going to be feasible. Could I split it in thirds, do the etch and seal for one section, let it cure, then move stuff around, etch and seal another third, etc?
I would expect where those sections meet, I would sand them down a bit and then slightly overlap the coatings.

It is less than ideal . Least bad option is to stop at expansion joints. If that is not possible yet you will have to sand and solvent wipe where they meet and you will see a line
