New lift coming positioning questions

Have a Bendpak HD9XW on the way. Going in the left bay. 18' wide door 24' wide space overall.

Question; to keep the middle poles away from the other parking spot, anyone see an issue or regret putting the left side poles as close to the wall as possible? I'm thinking parking no issue, but any potential problem when trying to do maint on a car if those poles (and hence the car) are too close to the wall??

Make sure you can pull an axle shaft out of an axle.
There are minimum distances for the hole to slab edge. Check that to make sure you’re not too close,

As a practical matter, you really can't get too close to the wall. Your car is going to be a lot narrower than that lift is. An axle shaft is only about 30" long (obviously). Just be worried about the bolting near the edge of the slab.

Any 2 post lift in front of an 18' door is just really going to be tough to deal with.

I put my post 24" off the wall. It's been a good position, but that area of the shop is 26' wide. With a 16' door, I can still get two cars in there and plenty of room to spare.

The HD9XW is a four post so a couple feel narrower overall width than a 2 poster. Specs are 110" overall width for the HD9XW.

A BP four post does not even need to be bolted to the floor unless it's an alignment 4 post.....so the lift really could be positioned anywhere on the slab.
I would keep the lift at least 3+ feet from a wall though.

Missed it being a 4 - get the casters with it and move it as needed.
