Has anyone bought a lift from North American Automotive Service Equipment?
www.naautoequipment.com
I want to buy an 8k 4 post lift and there price is good with the delivery and it comes with all the extras. I have herd some horror stories about chinese lifts and I sure this lift is made in china. China dosen't scare me but I would like to here if someone has any experiance with this company.
Thanks
Mark

I just bought one, believe it or not with another name , American auto mfg something...., can't find the name right now, it came with 4 wheels, 3 drip pans, 2 steel ramps and a slider that fits between the ramps.( total cost was $1810. with shipping around 200 or so) My neighbor bought one, I'vebeen looking for months and he was pleased with his so I took a chance. Mine is SS8000 the lift itself is ok, cables are thick enough have had several cars on it no problem My one main and only ***** is the instructions or should I say lack of, illustrations are minimal at best no idea where hardware goes, lots of bolts' nuts packaged together without a clue. I solved most of the probs by going to my neighbors house with a camera and used the pix for reference.would I buy another one ?? you bet ,construction is good, pulleys are solid brass runs quietly, 110 volt, but I'm going to nail it down. they say its free standing and it is but for security piece of mind I will bolt it. hope this helps E mail med if you need any more info.

AZ, (the cooler part)
are you ok with 110V ?
I'm looking at local vendor, ( probably same manufacture as yours)
9k lbs, with same features, (ramps, jack tray, caster kit, oil pans)
has option of 110v or 220V, sales guy ( like a car salesman) says 220v is more powerful, both are 1.5 HP.
I have 220 & 110 to area where it will set, so question is 110v or 220v ?
oh, price is $1950 either way, and I pick it up.
thanks

I can't compare it to a 220 unit, I am pleased wtih the operation of it ,it's quiet and fairly quick. I suppose if motor had to be replaced a 220 would cost a little more?

I'm going to go with the 110 just to keep it simple. I have been told that it only effects the speed of the lift not the amount of weight it can lift. I think I'm going to go with it. I know alot of people would say bendpak or even directlift but the price is right and I think with the amount I will use it its going to fit the bill.

I have been looking at 4 post also. I called North American Automotive Service Equipment to ask a few questions and the lady on the phone really ticked me off bad customer service she did not pay any attention to the questions and kept trying to sell me a 2 post lift. Im planning on ordering from Greg Smith Equipment and getting a Direct Lift the price on the lifts are about the same And you get a lift that is certified.
