New Lights on Finished Ceiling

My 24 x 24 garage has a finished ceiling with a room above it, so no way to easily run wire to install lights. I'm assuming conduit will be the only option here? Anybody have any pictures how this would look?

It looks industrial. Not a bad thing for a garage.
I had a house where the 3-car garage had 12 fluorescent fixtures tied together with EMT conduit. It looked fine.
