Lista MRO mobile Workstation preview via TG

Key points:
high storage density
built-in shelf locker
440 lb capacity drawers w/ interlocks.

What I don't get is how the release literature describes these as "mini" MRO workstations. Are typical workstations larger than 41" or 56" x 28"?

In any case it's nice to see new configurations released. I'm still saving my pennies for one of the newer technician boxes, and at this rate I might be able to afford one in... ~12 years.

My guess the reason for the "mini" would be Lista offers the multi unit workstations made up of cabinets, work benches, lockers and risers. They must aim this as an option to the mobile guys rolling around a shop or a plant.

I suppose that makes sense.

These look awesome, but as much as I want a Lista, I've already got a old Matco box that works well... oh to dream!

I was interested in a Lista cabinet with drawers, a DW 450. It is listed on the website but did not show a drawer configuration. The downloadable pdf. catalog shows these cabinets in other sizes with drawers but doesn't mention the DW 450. I Googled it and found a local dealer with a price I could live with who never responded to my inquiry. Then I called Lista direct and they couldn't help either since it's not in their catalog, all they did was take my name. They must have forwarded my info to another dealer who called me and explained the drawers had to be ordered separately and were not in the price listed by the dealer. Doubled the cost. A lot of wasted time.

They make a good product but really need to clarify the order process. Perhaps this new line is simpler to order.

I'm sorry about this bad experience, Rob. Would you want to PM me and let me know who the dealer was that never got back to you? I'd like to get the low down on the full situation so we can fix this issue and not have it happen in the future.

looks like lista is downgrading to stanley's level with this offering......when i think of lista i think of their one drawer opening at a time system and this looks like a convential manufactured bax with latches which i like better than rubber detents........ not a bad product maybe ,depending on the price and quality of the matierial workmanship and coo........any specs you could provide for us linda?........

Hi tatra,
I'm not sure what you mean by "when i think of lista i think of their one drawer opening at a time system and this looks like a convential manufactured bax with latches."
The PrevenTip® interlock system is the same across the board which is what this mobile cabinet has.

As for specs, it really depends on what mobile cabinet you are looking for but all of the information you might be curious about is found at the following link and its subsequent tabs within the linked page: http://www.listaintl.com/cabinets-storage/mobile-cabinets/specifications/introduction

Please let me know if there is something more specific you'd like me to look into and I would be happy to help!

i read this new product to have individual latches on each drawer that you have to manually lift, no?
the lista cabinets i have exp. with are the ones that autamatically lock all other drawers when one is open......

as for the quality comments, i would imagine that the matierial is lighter gauge and the glides also of a lessr quality than the origina; lista designs

not a problem if competitivly priced but if a premium is to be paid for the name and the product is comprable to what else is readily available, i see a hard sell except for ture fanboys.......

any idea if there are any available in winnipeg , manitoba canada to look at personally?

and not a warehouse where they are in stock but not on display , kinda a touchy feely kinda guy that way.......

thanx for your time...jim.....

Hi Jim,
I'll see what I can do about finding a distributor who might have these on display where you can see and touch them. As for the quality, I guarantee you that there is no, nor will there be, any compromise on it.

I'll be in touch about the distributor info.

Hi Jim,
our territory manager, Terry Milford is in Winnipeg right now and suggest you try to call Terry Matheson from Moore
204 981 5751
They don't have the exact cabinet in house but have plenty of other Lista cabinets to see the quality and kick the tires

I hope this helps.
