Congrats!! Stick around here and you will have that thing filled up in No time.

That is a sweet box. I was just going through my old school SO oday thinking I need a bigger box. Got my eye out on CL for a nice box. I got my SO top box from a dude that needed $275 to stay out of jail... needless to say I gave him his get out of jail card. Got the matching bottom to my box from the MAC man. He took it in on trade.
Enjoy that box, and put some air in that tire![]()
as far as my tires go i have yet to yank out my drag radial tires from the back of the car, still to cold here in chicago to work in the garage
Normally I'd recommend that you run the bolts in with oil first to clean out the powder coat from the threads ... but it looks like you went ahead and bolted it on already. Were the bolts 1/4"-20 with a 3/16" Allen head? Was there 4 of them?

That's a good strong box made in Georgetown, Ohio.![]()
Are they still made in Georgetown? I only live about 15 minutes away, maybe the have a scratch and dent sale from time to time. I know there is a Stanley plant in Georgetown.

Here's the address:
Mac Tools, Inc.
9301 Hamer Rd.
Georgetown, OH 45121
Phone: 937-378-4131
I can meet you out there, I am about 30 minutes from georgetown on Rt125. You konw 2 heads are better than one for pulling complete unscratched boxes from the scrap bin!
the desk top isn't bolted down at all, what you see is are a couple of rebars that was used to allow this desk top to be a floating top.I tried to remove them but wasn't able to.Also the top it self weighs about 80 pound or so,so no need to bolt it down![]()
I was talking about the side handle.![]()

the guys that have the mac boxes like that never report any problems. ( the only mac guys is a few miles away and I help the guys out with warranty, never need slides except in the body shops where the dust is hard to control...

The Stanley plant is on Hamer road, I wonder if they bought Mac out or something?
Gary
