A month ago, I replaced a 30 year old relay with a magstarter to add motor protection to the 1hp sewage pump in our sewage vault. Grangier guided me on the selection of the starter which match the relay specs. The pump is activated by a piggy back double float switch tied into the magstarter. I installed this and watched it work flawlessly through the first emptying cycle. This only needs to empty every two weeks or more. Today, I was in my yard and heard a very loud buzzing coming from the vault. When I inspected, I turned the power off via an inline double throw switch, then back on. No more buzzing... Could moisture or something else cause this to occur? I see the frost has recently melted off of the interior walls that the starter box is attached too... Any suggetions would be appreciated.
