I've been eyeing up roller tool cabinets. I had been leaning toward the Masterforce 41" and then checked out the HF US General 44" and also the 56" cabinets. Today I stopped in to my local Menards to discover that they have unveiled the new Masterforce cabinet line-up replacing the current mega sale they're having on the current models being closed out.

I took a picture of one of the signs that shows the main cabinets sizes and colors. Right now they're special order but will show up in Menards' stores in one month.

There is another sign that I did not photograph but it shows the side drawer add on cabinets as well as the taller side add on "closet" style cabinet similar to the US General. Also they top cabinets with angled tops. Very interesting.

46" = $469.00
56" = $769.00
72" = $1999.99

Yes, new colors! As long as they are priced right and similar quality, they should sell well! The only reason I haven't purchased one is the current color.

:sad: Although the best drawer layout IMO is the current 36", which I see is not being replaced.

I like that they're offering the bamboo, oak, and stainless steel box top options for the 56" and 72" roller cabinets. One of the issues I've had with the Masterforce boxes compared with the US General is that the Masterforce do not come with rubber mats for the top of the roller cabinets. The US General boxes do. The new Masterforce boxes also come with tubular locks for added security.

is that the price for the 56" combo???? if so, im going to menards to order mine this weekend.

No, that is for the bottom roller boxes only. The prices for the new line-up are much more than the close out prices for the current boxes. Go to Menards.com and search for Masterforce. Then select "Storage" in the left column to narrow the search.

Also, they now have a latch system instead of the detent and handles are different. They're more like the Craftsman.

To me the detent and the extruded aluminum handles on the current closeout are great.

The drawers come equipped with the new "patented Raise and Release™ drawer latching system."

How about the new Masterforce black boxes? This is the 56" combo totaling $1298.00.

Considering the green Masterforce 56" combo boxes were selling for $838.00, that's a big difference.

Holy **** !!! Holy ****!!! Did I wake up too early this morning or is this for real???

I've been holding out and looking at some of the other box brands all b/c of Masterforce and the hunter green color. So long as the quality and build of the new boxes is at least the same as the current boxes - this is awesome...!!! Not sure how I feel about the new latch though - I really like the current drawer pulls - I'll have to see it first...

Masterforce probably saw how other brands were pricing their boxes. Also, making tons of boxes in only one color probably costs less than offering multi-color options. To make up the difference - all you'll need is a sale, and that may come either at time of launch or during the holidays - or both.

That 72” box had an identical drawer config to the montezuma boxes, except its 24” deep. Cheaper price than Montezuma box I think. If anyone wants to cross shop the Montezuma brand, call Country Feeds and ask for Ryan. Free shipping and the best prices I have found online. He was very helpful with getting me extra drawers for my 72” box and his prices were MUCH cheaper than other online Montezuma dealers.
