Anyone else have one? Picked one up on Wednesday. It's pretty nice and appears to have quite a bit more power than the 14.4v one I traded in. I love it, but I'm starting to sadly think I may have to get it warranteed next Wednesday:sad:. Today it started developing this problem after charging the battery, where I would press the trigger and the light would come on and the motor would "start" but not spin. I'd have to press the button a few times for it to go, then it would be fine until I let it sit for a while. It would do it again.

I realize they make thousands if not millions of these things so I'm not having a fit over it...it's under warranty so I'll get a loaner and get it fixed. But just wondering if anyone else had one.

Matco guy brought one into the shop to show it off just as I was torquing a car's wheels down, I pulled out my CT8810 and asked him if he thought it could hang and just danced around it and went and talked to the other techs.

The 8810 was shorter and not as long, about the same weight, and the 8810 was $100 more but came with 2 batts instead of 1 like the Matcos.

Not trying to start a ******* war what-so-ever, just dropping in my .02 on the Matco's.

The snap on one does look nice, but it came down to price for me. Out the door I got my Matco and a battery for about $167 after trade...I knew no way would my snap on guy do that.

I can say it pulled two front wheels off a Dodge 3/4 ton (8 lugs ea) that were all torqued to 153 ft-lbs with minimum effort:thumbup:

I've had mine a couple weeks now. Seems to be a good tool so far. Don't have a 8810 to compare it to, but it is definitely more powerful than my matco 14.4 3/8.

I'd like to trade my 14.4 for an 18.0 volt and was waiting to hear if the 18.0 V was more powerful. Like you, an occasional product error can occur and is most not an across the board issue

That is very true and I'm not too worried; I know they'll take care of it. Just ***** because it is brand new and I've only had it a week:sad: I did notice about the only time it does it is after the battery is charged...anyway, we will see.

And for what its worth...this thing is def. MORE powerful than the 14.4v version.

Curious how this would stack up against the ct8810 since it does have a 4.0ah battery and close specs to snap on
