I guess I should have bought one of these when I was looking years ago...

But, has anyone here purchased the "new and improved" MaxJax lift that is actually happy with it?

I don't need the lower height of the lift, but I like the ability to store it out of the way when not in use.

Hmmm the silence is deafening. I was looking at the 'new' MaxJax as it would fit my needs, but after my last experience with Bend-Pak, I was hoping to see some positive user reviews. I also can't find in any specs what the current rating is for the power pack.

If you want a lift out of the way I would think you're better off just getting a quickjack or scissor lift and store it under the vehicle. I use my quickjack practically every weekend and just run over it during the week to store my work vehicle. If you can put up with a post lift get the kind where the cables run across the floor so ceiling height isn't as critical. I would think trying to use a maxjax and setting it up to use it would be a pain.

Is quickjack a name brand?

No Quickjack is not even close to a Max....those specs are the same as the old Max, I can't comment on the "new" version, but I'd be willing to bet it's exactly the same as the old one. The only problem the old one had was when they went to a textured paint inside the uprights, if the new one doesn't have this (I'm sure it doesn't) then it should be fine. It's more expensive, I see.....but I expected that.

Be sure to get the M6 version - the one with the automatic locks.

I wonder how usable a quickjacks on a 4 post would be?

i have seen it done, seemed to work well, was a cheaper option to buying the rolling jacks of a 4 post.

i dont know if bendpak has started shipping the new maxjax yet, that might be why you aren't getting much of a response.
