Hey guys and gals, I just signed up and wanted to say hello!
I'm from the Allentown Pa area, yeah I know, Billy Joel haha, and love garages, tools and all that goes with it. I have a 24X24 attached garage and a 30X40 with 11' ceilings detached garage. The detached garage is where the fun is. I general contracted the shell of it myself in 2016, went way over budget due to some excavation problems and then took over doing all the work from there so it's pretty much a time and money available (or maybe boss agreement) project at this point. Outside has vinyl siding and asphalt shingles and is pretty much done. I presently have the inside dry walled and painted. The walls are insulated but the ceiling not yet and I still need finished lighting and trim. I plan to put in heat some day as well.
I have a classic car, jet boat with a BB Chevy, Seadoo, SXS and more in the big garage. I'm pretty experienced with tools and do all my own work on them. For the vehicles my wife and I drive daily, I do basic maintenance such as oil changes, tune ups, brakes, etc. on them.
I'm always interested in new tools and learning new tricks. I used to do some welding in a prior job and looking forward to buying a welder some day and also some machine tools like a lathe and milling machine. My wife thinks I already have a mini Home Depot in there but what does she know lol.
Anyway looking forward to yakking it up with you all. One last thing, sorry about the user name, it stems from the classic car I mentioned earlier
