Hi guys,
I have been lurking around these forums for a few months now. Mostly guilty of looking at all your amazing builds and trying to compile ideas for my build in about 5 years. Yes, I know it is a ways away, but I am getting married this summer, and hopefully 'pull the goalie' next summer. so with little rugrats running around, I may not have much time to do the planning.
Anyways, I currently live in a mid-unit townhouse, with single car garage 20x10. Little tiny for my likings. With a work bench, push lawn mower and push snow blower, it doesn't leave much room for anything.
Per code, it was finished with drywall on 3 sides, taped and rough mudded one pass. I am currently in the process of finishing off the plaster, before I prime and paint. I then plan on mounting 3 florescent fixtures to the walls to brighten it up a bit.
Also have a question, are you familiar with any forums similar to this (good atmosphere, friendly people with a wealth of knowledge to share) about housing? Ive searched a few but none have really caught my eye.
Future plans include a +/-2000 sq foot single storey home with 26x26 attached garage with stairwell to basement. Also planning a +/-32x34 garage with 12' walls, hoist, and a segregated room/overhead door for yardwork equipment. btw this will be on a 28acre lot that I currently own.
