Hello to all here at Garage Journal, my name is Freddie. I have been skimming this forum for a while now and have just made it official to post today.
More about myself:
My home garage is a dedicated woodworking space where I design and build furniture. For my day job I work at a medium volume auto body shop where we do mostly insurance jobs. My skill set in the auto industry is painting, which worked out great as I took that skill right to my woodworking arsenal. I can do light body work and light assembly/disassembly. Goals that I would like to set for myself in the future are to learn how to weld, more specifically tig. I also want to learn about metal fab and how these guys are cutting rotted sections out of are and fabricating a new piece to install. I think it's awesome and would love to be able to do that on a build of my own one day. I would also love to increase my knowledge of mechanical work to maintain my own vehicles without having to call my dad every time I have an issue.
I am also a tool fanatic, I love using tools, taking pride and care of my tools, and just good old fashioned being able to do things with my hands. This seems like an awesome community and can't wait to get to know everyone.
