I just stumbled across this site yesterday. What a great resource. I am about to have a garage built. After attempting to get approval for a 30x40 detached garage I have modified my plans to build a 750SFT garage instead (20x37). In addition to not requiring special approval it will also be easier on my wallet (I hope).

It has been many years since I worked with my hands for a living and health problems and family (and lack of space) made it very difficult to keep up with my hobbies.

In many ways it is like fulfilling a childhood dream (building the project garage). Here is to hoping it works out well.

Cheers!

Welcome to the board Jim. I'm in Lexington and love this website. I get new ideas and inspirations on a regular basis from all of the cool posts. Hope to see your garage mahal posted soon as the weather breaks.
