Hi,
I recently joined the forum and have already gained loads of valuable information to help me with my hoist purchase. I am a former ASE Master Automobile mechanic having worked at Ford and Chrysler dealers in the area as well as having worked for VAG (Volkswagen & Audi) in Germany as a tech.
I got out of the wrenching business about 15 years ago (professionally), but still work on my own cars and trucks and the occasional friends vehicle. I am in the process of "fixing up my barn" to make it tolerable to work out there in the winter and summer. Just finished replacing the broken/cracked/sunken slab and getting ready to do some spray foam insulation.
Next month I am installing a hoist, so I am really looking forward to that, but dreading dragging all my **** from my wife's garage back into the barn.
In my spare time I like to do photography, dive, ride motorcycles and generally just have a good time. I hope to continue to learn lots of stuff from others here and hopefully I can contribute occasionally.
Thanks for reading.
Derek
