I came across this forum while googling something.
I've recently moved from Johannesburg , South Africa to Westchester NY.
I've only ever owned 2 cars , a 1998 Hyundai accent 1.5 GLS that i bought in 2005 when i was 21 as my 1st car and a 2008 Suzuki SX4 2.0 i bought in 2014 as a 30th birthday gift to myself as it was about time i got something a little newer, I put in all the servicing labor into both cars. Neither ever needed major repair during their years of use barring the accent in 2021.
Both vehicles saw their end of life in 2021 when the sx4 was car jacked and crashed at 160 000km and the accent blew a head gasket at 215 000km but since I was leaving the country , I drove it like that hoping it would hold on and it did til I sold it a couple of months ago.
