Hey everybody, I just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. I live in Summerville, SC in a cool little neighborhood that offers detached garages. I have a 20x24 garage that I started making mine about a year and a half ago. I started by installing a sub panel and a whole lot of outlets through out. It was roughed in, so that made it a lot easier. The next step was building my workbench. I built a 16' long by 2' wide bench along one side of my garage, with storage up above...
That is when it went on the back burner, while my Wife and I renovated our house.
Future plans for the garage will mainly be for wood working. I like to do old/rustic style work including Farm House tables and such. Our renovation consisted of building my own wood counter tops. They're not traditional hardwood/butcher block counters, but made from eastern white pine. They will take a lickin' which we are okay with. Over time the patina is what we are looking for...plus it was A LOT cheaper. Anyhow, here are a few pics of the garage from when we bought it, and the counters that I built. I hope to start a build thread soon...as I hope to continue improving my garage.
