Hey guys,

I been browsing around and finally made an account and joined. Love the ideas that you guys have. I am researching for a four post lift for my garage. I just recently had my garage tracks raised from 8 ft to about 9.5 ft and my garage ceiling is about 10' 5". Any recommendations? I am leaning towards for the Direct Lift one cause of pricing and its features.

Hello neighbor. I'm in Cedar Park ( Austin ).
When you raised the garage door tracks did you add a jackshaft opener also? My garage is 10'4" clear and I was able to do a Bendpak HD-9. My cars are 56" & 57" tall and they both fit but not by much.
I've found that spending time here on this forum can get costly real fast if your not careful.
Welcome and good luck on your lift project.

Hi there,

I did not add a jackshaft opener since my garage does not allow clearance for it on the side of the torsion bar itself and that's why I went with raising the tracks up about 1.5 ft. Total clearance I have about 9.5 ft clearance from garage floor to the bottom of the garage motor. My garage door guy suggested that we raise the doors since it would give me more clearance and we had no room for the jackshaft. My current car measures about 52" and any other future cars would be about the same in height give or take.

Actually I have to put the top car in backwards to clear the garage door. I too am limited to future cars but I think a Jag F Type will fit.
