I live in SW Washington up here in the Pacific Northwest. It's been raining like crazy lately. I'm going to be building a shop in the next couple of months and I was refered to this site by someone from "Binder Bulletin"...Binder Bullentin is a web forum for International Scout enthusiasts. I'm restoring a '63 Scout Model 80. Anyway, I recently moved and will be building a shop from the ground up and wanted to get some info on types of construction, other people's experiences with different aspects of building a shop and this looks like a good place to start.

Hi Toby,

I live in Seattle and have been a member for a little while here. I live in Seattle. I've been investigating building a workshop intensively for a few weeks with the help of this site.

Just today I discovered an interesting building method involving foam block that is set in place and then filled with concrete. You have probably heard of that before, but a company has added several nice steel components to the system.

They are called Metwood and have a rep in the Everett area. His name is Chuck Wilson and his phone is 425-239-8760 in case you might be interested.

Do a net search on Metwood and you'll find the national company.

good luck :)

PS- you wouldn't be related to Pat Dahl would you?
