Hi everyone! I am a new member located in Western Michigan. We just moved to a smaller house which came with a 36 x 50 steel pole barn. (probably the major selling point IMO!) I am looking forward to doing some work on (and in) the pole barn and will be learning a lot from all the excellent posts in GJ.

WOM: just know that your wallet will never have another benjamin in it not already spent on some quality tool(s) once you learn about them here. Welcome to the group and you have plenty of your neighbors here too so you are among friends.

cheers and hope you like it.

also post up a few pictures of your cool new garage/barn/shop if you have time to.

Thanks for saying "Hi". Here is a picture of the garage.

This is from the realtor before we moved in. The first two stalls are heated so this winter it will be a great place to work on the old jeep and the fishing boat.

The inside is a bit of a mess from moving in about a month ago. Im planning to put in some shelves and get organized in a little bit.

WOM: that is one nice looking shop/garage or storage. before it gets too full of your stuff did you have an idea of how you want to set it up or fill it? here's some ideas on a thread i started to help members called Organizing 201 and feel free to take a look or maybe add a few ideas of your own.

here's the link: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=342512

i use piece of paper that i figured out a scale and cut out some items i knew i wanted in my shop and moved them around on paper instead of moving 100's of pounds of shelving and benches around.

good luck
