Good Morning,
After 2 years of reading and thinking about my dream garage. I'm finally getting ready to break ground. We bought a new house on 2.4 acres on a 30 acre pond. about 1 of my acres is underwater, so the shop will have to be closer to the road than I would like, but at least it'll be a shorter drive way and cheaper to get electricity run.

This is only my second house, I rented apartments for probably 15 years, I also rented a 1200 sq ft shop, in the ghetto, for the last 6 years to work on my toys during the winter, when business is slow.

Our new house has 2 2.5 car garages, an uppper and lower, which is filled with the stuff from my shop, 5 motorcycles, welders plasma cutter, a h1 replica with a cummins and a 5 speed. They're pretty well full, My wife can't wait for my shop to get built so her new civic can park in the garage.

My best friend growing up is a barn builder, he's coming over this week to see about site prep and go over the numbers, I had him quote a 40x60 pole barn, metal roof, metal sides. Construction should start the first of October. I'll post some pics of the property

Well it'll be another few months before I can post the building pics, I was way off on getting the permits, I need a setback variance from the city.. next date, Dec 15th.

So we might get the building up, but no concrete until spring.
