Greetings to fellow gear heads. I am having a 30x48 shop/garage with 12 foot ceiling built this spring. Construction will be turn key with heat, a/c, lights, overhead doors, and toilet. I'm looking for suggestions and experiences with two post lifts, floor coatings, overhead storage, and other details I am probably overlooking.

Steve: i just read on a couple threads that if you are using certain lifts that a 12 foot 2 inch height is best. i know that throws the lumber off, but in the end you'll probably be happier if that's the lift you buy. I've also seen guys that buy the Max Jax lift that didn't need close to that height. do a little research on the lift before you start building. or have you started already?

any pictures of the garage's land to post so we can maybe see the real before?

welcome

Welcome Steve....from Ohio! Check out the lift of your choice and look for the mimium ceiling height. There are many with a 12' 2" minimum.......just saying. Good luck!
