I live in Bowling Green, Ky. I have just about finished my new detached garage. I have been visiting Garage Journal for quite awhile. I decided to join now that I can begin using my new space. I built a 32' by 32' garage with 11' ft ceilings. I intend to house my vintage Corvette, my old Harley and my project car...a 1964 Chevy Impala SS 409 4 speed matching numbers car. I found it over in Mo. in the fall and it has been in a storage facility waiting for its new home to be completed. I have worked my **** off on this garage since about Thanksgiving of 2011. I did have subs for the concrete work and the roofing. Of course I had to emplyee a licensed plumber and electrician to put in the minimum for inspection purposes. I live right in the middle of the city and the city must pass on every little thing you do. Right off the bat they made me run new electrical service from their pole in conduit and they made me move the footprint of the building over 11 inches. Whatever. I pay them for inspections. Most everything on the garage is complete except the floor. I intend to either use Race Deck or have epoxy laid down. I am leaning toward epoxy and I am not doing it myself. I have read too many stories by DIYs . Best left to those who have done it before. Mistakes with epoxy are expensive to correct. Looking forward to being an active member here.

Welcome! I'm about 45 min down the road from you in Hendersonville TN. Got a son who lives in BG. Saw your pic of the front elevation...nice garage! I just finished my own garage build...my wife and I did the epoxy floors; so far so good.

Go back up to the top - there is a black band under the Garage Journal logo. First option is User CP. Click that and there will be options to select on the left side. Under Networking there will be an option for Pictures and Albums.
