Hi folks!
I live in R.I., am a contractor. Business isn't what it used to be; after the financial crash my wife & I sold our new house and bought a much cheaper (real old) house. It does have a separate garage, built in the 70's. I have been cleaning and organizing it, I have it as neat as it's probably ever been! We know the prior owners....they were pack rats
. Part of the deal was that the just left the old stuff the didn't want. So I had that stuff as well as all the stuff I have accumulated over the decades.
But I hafta say...I love having a neat and organized garage/workshop. For the first time in my life

Now to the question part: The workbench I have was left to me by the prior owners, it's approximately 96"x 30", with a 1" thick painted top. I recently got my hands on a couple of older stainless tables. One is 60"x30", the other is 60"x24". I cut the back and side edges from the wider one, slipped it on, then did the same with the 24" table. I have a seam or two, but otherwise a decent stainless workbench! But...one of the tables is relatively shiny, while the other is less shiny, and stained. I'm wondering what I can do to refinish the surface to bring them back to new(er) looking. Any suggestions?
