Mike here. I'm about to build a 30 X 60 X 10 pole barn for doing automotive stuff, woodworking, and whatever else crops up. I'm planning on two 16' doors and approx 20 x 30 enclosed for woodwork and other more indoor type stuff. Planning for compressor and dust collection to be in isolated lean-tos. I'd like bigger, but it would look silly on our lot. My doors have to face south (as does my existing garage). I've gotten some great ideas from this group already, such as north-facing high windows. I look forward to contributing and hearing your ideas!

Hey folks. Looked at a few sites and this one best appealled to me. Been getting into simple restoration projects lately. Just finished a vise I had in the garage. A C. Parker #83 vise. Haven't been able to find much info on it other than pictures and it supposedly being rare. Don't know about that, but it was fun to do. Looked at some Parker catalogs online and #83 didn't show up. Any info on production time-lines and such would be great. Most everything was done by hand. Don't have all the fancy tools (yet), but I think it came out OK. Forgot to take before pictures, it was covered in rust and siezed up. Attached some after pics. Going to use it on my reloading bench, perfect size. Looking forward to exploring the site.

thanks, Bill
