Hi guys, Im new here and figured my first post should be my garage makeover. I have found many great ideas here including the tool chest work bench, which I copied. As you can see my garage started off as a complete disaster but is finally a functional space.

Quick! Paint those walls before you start hanging stuff on them! I wish I had. Now I'm too far gone to take everything down to finish the walls.

Very nice transition
The small metal rack gives me a great solution to my problem
Thank you for sharing that.
I also see good possibilities with the large work table above your tool boxes
and I like the storage space up high
Well done. Whats next??

Looks great. Good use of your high ceilings. And you can't beat a long workbench it will fill up quick with projects. Not sure what you plan on building but I would move your lights to the ceiling so you are not banging them with stuff.

Ha, that's the one thing I've been slacking on. I know it needs to be done I just hate painting. I still have a bit of other stuff to do first.

Ditto on the welding cart - really functional. I like the framework for storing misc. steel pieces, etc. Efficient use of floor space. ;)

Looks great, whats next?

First, thanks for all the positive comments. My next project is a 4 x6 steel fabrication table and then I need to purchase a new metal lathe as I sold my old Atlas lathe.

As for a door stop, it really isn't an issue as I rarely use that door.
