New member question

As everybody may know I joined last week and while creating my profile I found no place to post a avatar and a place top add a signature.
Do I have to wait for a certain amounts of post to add them or am I missing something?

I don't believe there is a minimum post count for an avatar but that has been a long time ago for me.

Go to your User CP, (black band at top of page)

On the new page, left side, Your Control Panel,

Under Settings & Options, you'll find "Edit Avatar"
