I am a retired Coast Guard JAG officer living in Coral Gables, Florida. Graduated from the Coast Guard Academy and was an engineer before deciding to go to law school while on combat deployment as the DCA on the USCGC Mendota off the coast of Vietnam.
In the process of building a new, hopefully three (3) car, garage to be used mainly to restore British sports cars. Have restored a 1956 MGA and in the process of restoring, or more correctly paying someone else a lot of money, to restore a 1967 Austin Healey BJ8.
Would appreciate any and all recommendations on flooring, doors, storage, auto lift, standby generator, etc. Plan to build a two story garage with storage and living space on second level to retreat to in case of a hurricane and extended power outrage.
