Hi everyone,

Been a lurker for some time but recently decided to sign up and join the family

I'm about to close escrow on a new home and needed some advice on the garage.

Currently the "front" of the garage is a mess. Too much is going on and is in need for a makeover. I have some pictures i took when i met the inspector about a month back.

The goal for me is to turn this into a shop. I've got a couple project cars and i want to build a place to work on them. Once the garage is cleaned up i'll do drywall then will come the race deck followed by a 2 post lift.

Enough rambling... Can you guys give me idea's on how to clean all this up? I was thinking of building some type of enclosure for the tankless water heaters?

I can't relocated the AC or the water heaters so i'll have to figure out a way to work around them.

One easy solution is to build a frame work that has bi-folding louvered doors that hide everything, provides access and still lets everything breathe. You then can decide to paint or stain the woodwork.

I agree. A wall with a massive sliding door would be my idea. I would hire a graffiti artist to paint some cool garage scene on there too.

Narbie: welcome to our forum and nice picture post. easy to see what you need when you post good pictures. where are you located and you might put the area or city and state or country in your profile so some of us can help you if you have specific questions.

i went to a home show a couple weeks ago and saw some amazing paintings by a guy that does bedrooms and garage doors in 3D. i'll post his link if i can find it if you say you'd like to see it, but not handy now.

take care and ask questions if you have any and we'll try to help if we can.

cheers
