Hi to all you guys, i have been reading quite a bit of stuff on here lately so thought i may as well join up. I am in England and many of the things i want to research i.e. vintage U.S.A. tools, leads me to this site. I have just recently started to collect vintage quality tools and knowing very little about them this site along with "Alloy Artifacts" is very, very useful. So just saying hi to everyone and some of your tool collections are amazing. Cheers.

Andy: welcome and you have some members in your area that really like old English and US tools so you are in good company. on the vise thread i think there are 4 very active members and several others that post from time to time so here's the link if you have some time to see some good old vises.

Thanks for that, no questions at the minute. Just happy browsing and drooling over some peoples tool collections. The stuff you guys pick up at yard sales are like "hens teeth" over here!

Thanks to all you guys for the welcome, i dont usually bother with forums much but this one is "Too cool for school" when it comes to vintage American hand tools. Have a small collection of mainly ratchets, drive tools, and pliers. Quite hard to find over here, probably really common over there. But then finding them is good fun and researching is very interesting. Some great info and very helpful site. Cheers guys.

North East, where it is cold and raining all the time. Think i might move to Arizona or California where i can grow old in the sun!! Probably not many "limeys" on here eh? Some really cool stuff on here and everyone seems very clued up. Thanks for the welcome.

Andy: i know several members from the UK so hang in there and a lot of them seem to post in our early morning in the old tools and garage gallery sections.

any questions yet other than you want to know why it's 95 degrees in Seattle this last couple weeks? it's too damn hot for me so would love to give you some. BTW Arizona is about 120 degrees so it might pull the mold out of your body too quick so might i recommend staying where you are because global warming will have you 70's and sunny in a few years.

cheers
