I just joined up when I found about this place and I thought this is too cool, a forum for garages. Here are a couple of pics of my shop I finished about 3 years ago and the first project to be built in it. The shop is a little dirty right now as I am franticly trying to get the car finished before the season stars. It not as nice as some I have seen on here but I getting there.

Thanks! With two stages of nitrous it should run 4.70's to 4.80's in the 1/8 mile. On the engine dyno it made 995 hp and 820 lbft torque without the nitrous.

I see your from GA. Where is Springfield and what track do you run on. I am about thirty minutes from Silver Dollar Raceway if you have ever run there. I am currently building an 82 Capri for the strip and a little street duty. It ain't quite as serious as your Stang but it will be fun. Decided to build my shop though before I finish the race car, tired of working out of the basement garage. Good looking shop and cars. Great to see another GA Ford lover on the site.

It's about 20 miles northwest of Savannah. We race at Savannah River Dragway, it's a new track that opened this year after the old Savannah Dragway closed.

Beautiful Garage; Is It A Miracle Truss & If So What Are The Specs & Who Did You Have Put It Up?

Yes it is Miracle Truss. It's 36 x 48 with 12ft walls. I did everything myself except the concrete work and the Icynene spay foam insulation.

is that an old kitchen oven? for snacks, or do you use it for heating parts?

I saw that and assumed it was a washing machine. I've seen a few of those in garages here and there: After you get a whole bag of red shop rags greasy... load up your dirty work clothes and all the nasty rags, and wash 'em without your wife having an ayeurism. If you leave them soaking in soapy water (turn it off as soon as it finishes the wash cycle, before it drains and begins the spin cycle) overnight you'd be surprised what will come clean.

But you're right. It looks to be an oven. They're great for all sorts of things in the shop. I used the one in our kitchen to heat a ring gear to 400* so it'd slip easily onto the carrier in a Toyota differential last weekend. Wife came home 5 minutes later and asked what that smell was... that was a close one. ;)

It's and oven I bought off my next door neighbor when he was remodeling his kitchen. I use it primarly for powder coating small parts, but I also use it to make a pot of coffee for those cold mornings.

Nice garage & car. Is this a Miracle Truss building, what is the size and did you build it yourself? I am in the process of building a 30 X 36 myself and looking for any tips I can get. I also have refreshed several old mustangs, the last being a 66 2+2.......sure do miss that car. Tom:thumbup:
