Hello , My name is Tommy, I'm in Alabama and was recently introduced to this site by another Member (Danno) who hangs out with A bunch of us Novas Guys at Steves Nova site. This is A great site, I've been reading old posts for about A week now and allready have many new ideas for my Garages. Heres the skinny on my Home away from home.. I have been working out of the attached 20x20 for several years and recently was able to build A detached unit in the back yard!! The garage is 30 deep and 32 wide with 9 ft walls. A local guy built it for me and I am pleased with it, I still have lots of work to do but I think this site may be A great way for me to get some of my questions answered. Here's A few photos of it and i'll include A couple of the attached garage if I can.

I'll be wiring and insulating soon then I will be able to move the hotrods out back and park the pick-um-up truck in the little garage.. Thanks for letting me share these with you all. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions for you guys.

Heres on more I took right after it was built and I had both cars out back. Notice the Leyland Cypress trees I planted behind the shop. They are much bigger now. They grow quickly and will soon be solid across the back yard which will give me more privacy and hopefully cut down on noise (my neighbors love open headers late at nite... NOT). I plan on putting in quite A few more of those same trees on the sides of my yard. A fense is in the plans also as I have had people peeking in the windows while was away (they ran and drove off when my neighbor was walking over) and have seen A couple of people in yard at nite....

Welcome.

Good to see some more Nova guys on here. I used to have a 63' Chevy II SS hardtop and I friggin loved that car. I have definite plans in the future of getting another one.

Dan, I haven't planned A driveway but one would be nice. I think the next thing I will be doing is getting the shop wired properly :shocking: and sheetrocked.

Lookin good...

Tommy, the shop looks really nice, but the NOVA is coming together really well! I can't remember how I linked this site, but I think it was Danno's post on Steve's site. I love it here, been reading up on shop heaters!! Thanks for the link Danno!

Hey Scott, Yes I was reading about some of the different heaters also. I like the waste oil heater because I get almost new used oil from our delivery vans each week. One question though, would the flu get hot enough to melt the vinyl siding where it would come out of the wall?? I can get all the parts quick around here and looks easy to build.
