Extensions are the single most expensive option on metal buildings. Gable extensions are easy but eave extensions get more complicated. Couple that with the material and labor and it adds up fast. Siding has no bearing on windows.

Thanks readhead I was hoping you would see this post. I hear they figure extensions by square foot so 400 square ft x dollar amount per square ft to erect would be my labor cost of this option. Peak steel buildings In Georgia figures labor on it that way I don't know if it's industry wide but you probably know. I was thinking a window that protrudes out to the exterior more would fit the pbr profile better and get windows with nailing fin correct? Here in the Atlanta area erecting is going in the 5.00 range .

Windows with fins will work fine. The trim around the windows and doors will accommodate the R panel. $5 is the going rate around here for simple buildings. I would probably add another $1.80 to the overall footage for the overhangs.

That is without seeing site conditions. If everything is clear, dry and unubstructed I would knock off .60 cents. Unfortunately a lot of owners have a more optimistic perception of the site than I do.
