Hello,
Just found this board. I built a 30 x40 shop last summer with my son and a friend. It was purchased from web steel in oregon. It has been fun working on projects in a dry climate, and my son really likes it. Bought a used rotary lift and installed it ,don't know how i lived with out it. Will try to get pics later.

Welcome Mike, that first pic of your shop makes it look like your isolated, just you and the mountain, I like it. Nice shop, cool playground. Why is there a window in the top of the wall, doesn't that add to the heat, isn't that the southside?

How can you stand the heat in there? Are you gonna put up some shades on that skylite until winter? I'm in centex, hot and humid, work all day in an open air shop, shaded but hot 101* 50%+humidity. Looks like pretty country out there though, how far is that range to the southwest?

scofo, the pic of the southside will show the skylight panels. instead of being in the roof they are in the walls. they do not let direct light through. right now it's 92* outside and it's about 85* in the shop. the mountains are the sierra nevada mountains. i live about one mile from the foothills, that section in the background is about 10 miles away. mike

tooljunky, I bought them at home depot. they are 3/4x5 .box of 10 was $16 or 1 for $4.50. I needed 16 anchors. Mine is a rotary, i emailed them for directions and had them the next day.
