Hi my name is Jason & I've been scanning the forum for a long time but just recently joined. I'm A mopar but like all brands of cars, I'm a tool hoarder an appreciate vintage tools & shop equipment. I hope to learn a few things here, make some new friends & get some good deals. I'm in southeast Ky, beauty ky to be exact so if anyone is local give me a shout.

I sure can, do you guys use photobucket on here? I'll put some pics of a 2012 challenger I'm fixing back & a old one I was redoing & I'll have to look through to see if there's anything else that may be interesting to you guys.

Welcome!! Nice new edge. I really like that body style of mustang. Really want an '03-'04 Mach or cobra one day.

Welcome from the west coast. Getting an account here is probably the second best decision you've ever made.

NCFIO: it looks like you figured out how to post pictures. maybe a space in between links might put them on top of each other instead of side to side? are you using Photobucket?

another option is to post pictures like you would on an email with the paperclip above where you are writing your posts. that way if we see a picture we like we can just double click on the thumb and you get them full size.

you have a few nice toys and a few to work on so thanks for sharing pictures. I've been raising 5 kids and own a small garage so i'm just into general home repairs and i like old tools, but someday i'd like to own something other than Hondas again.

thanks for joining and keep those pictures coming. any old tools? here's a few of my big vises i'm working on making stands and bench space for.

I used photobucket, I'm on a bunch of different forums & even moderate & administrate on a few but it seems posting photos is different on everyone lol. I've got 2 year old twins & a 4 year old so my time to get out in the garage is greatly deminished too. I've got some old tools & a few vises I'll have to snag a few pics later. That vise I posted above is a columbian I just picked up at a roadside sale for $25. It seems to be in pretty decent shape except you can see where the insert is broke on the jaw. I was hoping to maybe find a set on here to replace it on here. Maybe after Xmas I can pick up one of the fine vises you've posted up. That old stuff is the best IMO.

NCFIO: at one stage i had (with my wife of course) twin 2 year olds, a 4 year old and her 16 and 18 year olds from her previous marriage. the little ones are ours and are now 26 and 24 and the twins are still living at home while working and finishing up college.

a lot of those little columbian vises have broken jaws and I've heard a few guys mention new jaws for $25 or in that ball park. we have a lot of tool guys and a big vise thread if you care to read, learn and tell us what you know. or put a post in the vise parts thread and maybe somebody has good jaws with something else broken to trade or sell you a decent pair of jaws.

the swivel back jaw vises are pretty neat to have and use if you ever get odd shaped items to put in them.

also never use your vise as an anvil or a press and most any vise will last to give to your great grand kids.

hope you get a little time with your bride because with out crew we had to schedule a date night every couple weeks or each month to make sure we saw each other one on one.

good luck and again welcome
