Hi: To all of you folks out there, I am new to The Garage Journal Board. It is going to be interesting to be a part of all your quests what ever they maybe. I am in my early 60's, I grew up on a farm in east central Minnesota. I was a farmer by the age of six. That is when my dad put us to work. At 6:00 am. You were in the barn doing chores. Then get washed up and walk to country school, Two and a half miles. By age 17 I held down a full time job and also you guessed it farmed. My dad past away that June. The cows went down the road the next week. Anyway I worked over 50 year. And know I enjoy my love of hunting and fishing, But most of all I found my girl friend after 45 years, The Love Of My Life.

Willy: you sound like a stand up guy and let me be the first person to welcome you. i doubt with your work ethic you've got any health issues but if you do or don't you are welcome to one of my favorite threads i'm hosting.

I grew up in the city and i was pretty active so i could eat anything and a lot of it not the best for me while i was growing up and not gain a pound. now i'm in my 60's and needed to change that attitude and learn to eat for Nutrition and not for pleasure.

i could use some farming tips is why i'm mentioning this so sorry if it sounds not mechanical or garage oriented.

is 1953 year you were born or do you have a truck from that year or both?

i'm a 1956 model and still looking for my truck.
