I just found this site and all I can say is.... I am renting currently so my garage is temporary, damp and dingy. I am looking for a house and have plans to build/renovate a med. size garage when the time comes. I am using google sketch-up to try out ideas. I work in the sign industry and restore motorcycles as a hobby so if anyone has electrical, metal/woodwork, painting, motorcycle questions- I will do my best to contribute. I'm embarrased to even post these but here is my garage currently...

Welcome...nice Bimmer!
Sounds like you'll fit in nicely. BTW, some around here don't have garages, I do, but when I rented, I never had a garage. That sounds like a bonus!

welcome!! That's a nice enough place. As long as you have a weather tight roof and some heat, that place looks comfortable. I worked for 10 years on a concrete driveway and restored two MG's that way. It took me another seven years to finally get a place where I had a seperate woodshop and a garage/metalworking shop. Just keep planning and saving --
