24'. Worked out perfect to get a bench down one side, 2 cars with room to walk/open doors and stuff down the other side.

Jack... his join date is the same as yours, can we call you a newbe too??

I think Jack meant the bare pad!!:headscrat:bounce:

Anyone else? It's the first time I'm seeing "sled-boys" place (nice!) and it's the best shots I've seen of HOTF8's!!

I have been a member for a while now, but mostly lurking. Thanks to everyone on here who has taken the time to write up their ideas. There are some great ones!!

I have been accumulating stuff for a few years and finally started the garage build in April. It is nearing completion now. I'll try to get a proper write up at some point, but pretty busy trying to complete construction and adjust to a new baby. The basic specs are 25'x32' (roughly), 9'6" ceilings, 16x8 door, plumbed for air, small bathroom, shop sink, hot and cold hose bibs, upstairs 500sf apartment with 16x12 ipe deck. Stucco finish to match the house. Should be complete in a couple of weeks.

I started with this:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jack_mccormack/4461553034/" title="IMG_1401 by j.mcc, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4035/4461553034_b622618d5e.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_1401" /></a>
got it to this:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jack_mccormack/4461556314/" title="IMG_1410 by j.mcc, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4027/4461556314_9c5a260f8d.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_1410" /></a>
and have since added two sheets of plywood , and those interlocking foam rubber work out mats around the periphery for the floor. I've also put shelves up on all 3 walls. I can now find everything I need, and have plenty of room to work on two bikes while keeping the 3rd tucked up against the wall.
