Here's my crrent project. I know its not vintage and was'nt too bad of shape but I thought it would be good for my first project, I bought it off craigslist for $40.(The whole 3 tier chest). Right now I'm only focused on the top box to see how it turns out.

Welcome to GJ, C'manman. You found the right place for old toolboxes and anything else found in a garage.

You will have to hit Red Leader's thread on his '1950s Craftsman Garage' renovation. Here is his vintage C'man toolbox he is restoring. This is from page 75, but there are plenty more pix there.

But be careful with his thread... he also has plenty of vintage power tools that he is restoring as well. Many of those that have visited his page have ended up wanting to get vintage tools.

BTW, you scored well at $40 for three pieces. Looking good

I picked up a old tool box for 50 bucks. It has a few small dents in it and scrapes in the paint. I would not want to change it in any way. As it has that well used look and people will think I know what I doing.
