I've actually been after this machine for a few years now and it finally worked out.

Stupid me sold my forklift last spring "because I don't have any use for this anymore" so wasn't exactly sure how I was going to unload it.

Used the lift to pick it up then pulled the trailer out from under it. Worked slick!

So here's my new (to me) Prototrak 3 axis cnc Bridgeport. The thing is in exceptionally good shape. Came with a Kurt vice, about 40lbs of end mills and other misc stuff I haven't sorted though yet. Looking forward to getting it setup next week and start making chips.

Oh well you just ****!!!!!! :rocker::drool:

If you don't mind me asking, how much? And yes, I'm jealous as ****.

I can understand selling your forklift. I've had three car trailers, I use them, then they set. Just as soon as I sell it because it hasn't been used in a year, then all of a sudden I need one.

Do you mind saying approx how much you had to give for that kind of set-up ? I've seen manual only go for as low as 5-1500.00 then ones with DRO's around 1000.00 - 3500.00 CNC even more, I've seen them for sale at around 12,000.00

Nice machine, looks like it was well taken care of.

Not to hijack the thread, but I would like to know some details of the English Wheel, did you make it?
How well does it work?
Do you have any other pictures?

Thanks in advance.

The romantic hills of central Umbria, Italy,
Nice use of the lift to solve the problem! (Ya know, it would have just fallen off the forklift, anyway! --lol-)

Very cool machine. Super clean for used - I'd ask how many hours you think it has on it, but you're probably out making chips with it, so I don't expect an answer any time soon. :D

And like Kevin, I, Too, am Jealous as ****!

Thanks guys! They figured it had about 100 hours since buying it new. Only damage on it is from me. I tore the front data plate off the column with a load chain. Duh!

As far as price, it was a real fluke deal and took a few years to be reached. But it less than the cost of a new Kurt vice.

Kevin, I fabricated the wheel out of plate steel. It works great, very ridged machine.

There are no words describing the amount of suckage that now abounds. I'd tell you that you sick again, but that won't even come close to covering it.

At least I hope you are talking about a super duper deluxe Kurt vise instead of a typical Kurt vise.

I'm going to go and throw up now.

More of a standard 6" no swivel. But like I said it was a fluke deal. Just a result of good timing and some patience.

I have a couple Flukes, and I'll go buy a couple more and trade you :rocker:

I'ma gonna go throw up again.

Nowhere in this thread is "Bang his wife" gonna fit. There's got to be a more appropriate wording than "MAJOR SUCKAGE":bowdown::bowdown:
