I think it's funny how they use a 1000 watt microwave (on a job site??!!) as to how great their thing is... 40 meals... so it's good for 40,000 watts? This with --two-- of their bigger battery packs.
Um, how about putting a nail gun compressor, a worm drive saw, and some job lights on it... see how it REALLY does... Even just the compressor cycle will pull a lot more than a small radial saw... stack on tools you'd normally have a generator for, then you better have power nearby to charge it... in which case, just run your power cord to your tools.
And think about this. You need 4 of those big ol' battery packs - 2 to run the thing, 2 in backup when you have the 2 you just depleted on charge... for 90 minutes. And a power cord or source for your charger. I'll stick to my pair of EU-2000's... Refilling takes 90 SECONDS, not 90 minutes. And I don't need a power source to charge my generator...
Add to that... how long are those lithium batteries going to like being fully discharged and recharged over and over before they do the Samsung thing... in your job trailer... Most Lithium packs I have start out strong, but after a few dozen cycles they start to drop...
I get it. If you're a light power user, and don't expect the same power availability as your generator (which delivers 2000 watts for 8 hours on a gallon of gas) then go for it. Just don't expect unlimited. Or, unless they have some magic batteries that will tolerate a lot of abuse, longevity.
