Hello,
I recently bought the back half of an Omaha work truck that has begun transformation into what will be my mobile welding rig. I'm a hobbyist that is looking for side work. The truck was a yellow/green and there is some discoloration from the roof in rust - but doesn't seem to be any leaks at this time. I'd like to roll on a water-proofing paint over the top and also paint the sides to keep it dry inside. With a metal surface - can anyone recommend a product from Home Depot or any paint company chain store or other source that would seal up the roof well and also cover well - thinking maybe someone who has painted the roof of an R.V. camper or other metal trailer? Here is what I'm working with! (YES - going to change to a pintle hitch & install trailer brakes as well!)
Thx - John

Thx for the suggestion. I just climbed up the side and was pleasantly surprised by the condition. NO rust whatsoever on top - the side 45 degree face seems to have gotten scraped lightly by something - that caused that rust. It's surface only. The front section is all - wire wheeling that out then packing with silicon will seal that up well. Then I may bend a new face plate and rivet it into place to clean up the look. But I do need to paint this thing - so may look into the Rhino liner DIY kit.

That looks like a great truck bed to develop into a mobile facility! And a couple of mobile workshops for you to aspire to!!Scammellwithlathe.jpg
