Yesterday I cashed in my birthday, and Christmas gift cards on the 36" Montezuma roller cabinet. They didn't have any in stock so I will receive it on Wednesday, but in the mean time I figured I would do some research.

The box I purchased looks exactly like the Montezuma 36 crossover from strictly toolboxes, however has a deep top drawer instead of the pull out work surface + shallow top drawer. Here is the link to stb:

Montezuma's website does not have any info on the box I purchased so I am a bit lost. I would love to be able to find specs on the specific box I bought.

Any help? I will be posting pica of it hopefully Wednesday night :)

Sweet

I've almost bought the open front version like that a couple of times, just never had the room for another box.

They do look convenient

I'm jealous. I've never bought one because I can't justify the price for such a small box. Even the larger ones are too small, and considerably more money. If only it weren't patented other companies could make cheaper ones.

Picked it up tonight in the blistering cold.

Dragged the box into the garage, removed packaging. Drawer liners came in the top drawer, casters came in the bottom drawer, and had to be attached to the bottom of the cabinet. 10 minutes and she was ready to be filled.

As you can see, I am lacking a bit in the tool department, but honestly I never really find myself needing many tools. I usually make due with what I have. I do need a good set of pry bars, and a deeper selection of pliers, but that will come in time.

That has every spec you could need for that box. I had the 26" at work for six months and loved it. Recently sold it to a co-worker for $750 and he loves it too. Good to see ol' girl back in the shop too.

Quick tip: Drill some holes in the can holder and it can be used as a prybar rack too. For the longer ones though, you may need to add some spacers as well.

Edit: My bad. I saw shiny and got distracted, didn't realize you already posted the link to the Strictly Tool Boxes page.

OP,
I've been eyeballing this exact same box in my local sears for the last few days and have been pulling my hair because I can't find any info on it online either. How are you liking it so far?

Also, if you don't mind, what did you pay for it.

i like this box. i would really like to see the top portion in action. none of my local sears seems to carry the top or the bottom in the store.

Are those drawers modular, can the be re arranged? Also, it looks a bit different than the one in the picture. Did it come with the can, towqel, and air tool racks like in the picture? Howard about the metal plates on the sides? Thanks for the info!
