Just went to strictly tool boxes and saw this bad boy.

I have no idea why, but the all black look I love. Wonder if they will make a version of this in the 72" elite. One could only hope.

What is that bull bars on the sides? Do we need brush guards on our toolboxes now?? haha..

PS.. the matte black is kinda nice looking. With chrome trim I bet it'd be slick.

that bad boy will run you right around 2500 shipped :) I want one. im on the quest for my perminant toolbox right now. I like this one because it pretty much has all that I want. it looks like it can withstand a s#it storm and still protect its self and its contents. and as far as i can tell all 4 wheels castor making it great for those complicated manuvers and getting into tight spots ++++ in my mind. also idk why but i love spring loaded castors. idk if they are dampend or not but still it takes the shock off the toolbox while rolling it around the shop/hangar/garage I have to have on of these.

The diamond plate on top is a NO-GO for me. I want a smooth surface to write, and work on. I do like the black out look though. I saw a blacked out Matco version on a truck last year, and it was very sinister looking.

Yea, the diamond plate on the top would end up being a pain in the rear I'd say..

Agreed, trying to write on / clean that top of grit and grime would get old fast with the diamond plate pattern in there.

Spring loaded casters make going over bumps or lips in a floor a breeze. When I roll a box with spring casters on my liftgate, you hardly notice the lip. Non spring casters and you have to push hard to get them over the lip.

its 26" deep

There seems to be confliciting info. Next to the photo it lists this:

Dimensions: 56"W x 20"D x 45"H
Weight: 634lbs
Warranty: 5 Year
Drawer Slide Type: Roller Bearing
Paint Type: Powder Coated
Drawer Liner Type: High Density Foam
Lock Style: Tubular Coded

But in the deminsions area it lists this:

One of them is wrong. Hard for a 20" deep box to have 22.25" deep drawers...

i believe most slant front boxes are but at least some are imported. :( sadly i think the latest crossovers are imported. if you see a crossover with a dimple or in dished in area were the the lift handle is it is imported. if the handle is bolted over a flat surface it is domestic or us made. this came from a very reputable source. i know mine is us made and i believe yours to be but the latest ones may not be.

Mine is flat with the handle bolted on.... I was hoping all of the boxes they made where US made.

that is us made. the imported slant front are a recent development. they are not all imported and don't know specifics on how many but i know that the handle is the easiest way to tell.

The Canadian Tire version is a import, exactly as sk farmer described.

if a am correct those venders that specify a us made box receive the us made box. those that do not recieve the import. from what i have seen the import box is as well or better made with more fearures for the same or similar price. not condoning it, just stating the facts.
