Bruce here, and I have to say I'm a DIY guy and a bit of a perfectionist, which I must admit is not a great combo. But I'm slowly getting around to the fact that good enough isn't always a bad thing. I like cars, photography, and my latest thing metal detecting.
My dad was a machinist, and as they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, but I got into Quality Control almost 40 years ago in the aviation, space and medical industries, a perfect fit for someone who like things done the right way.
I really like tinkering too, as well as helping out others who can't help themselves. Someday I'll probably be in that boat myself.
But I also own an old 1860 house called a one and a half. Which I must say is always keeping me on my toes. Similar to my wife, only in a slightly different way.
I also try and have a good sense of humor, which usually helps quite a bit.
