Hello, all.
I joined The Garage Journal almost 4 years ago and this is my first post. Why so late posting? I've been busy, working. I recently found a way to get out of my paying job by retiring earlier this year.
I now do whatever needs doing here at home. I also sometimes do thing for my bride, when I get time in my not-so-busy day.
Although this is my very first post, I'll admit I have been lurking from time to time.
I began my part-time working career at a family-owned agricultural farm equipment dealership back in '69. I worked after school and on weekends. A few years later, after my schooling was done, I became a full-time employee. I learned a lot about the workings of farm equipment by helping the older mechanics(now called Technicians). Those guys had years of experience. Over time, I worked my way up to the Service Manager position. After 23 years there, I went out to explore the world of heavy industrial equipment. I worked another 23 years on all sorts and brands of heavy equipment, then decided to call it quits.
I now have some time on my hands, so I'll be stopping by more.
Sorry for rattling on. My lengthy introduction has gotten me thirsty, so I'll get back to what I was doing.
Later.............
