New old tool box

Picked this up from a neighbor who was having a garage sale
It doesn’t having any markings on it so I have no idea what brand it is, anybody have any guesses?
It needs some new latches and a repaint

It looks just like the Simonsen box I have. They were a longtime maker of tackle boxes and made a bunch of metal toolboxes on contract for the military. If you check the sides there may be a manufacturer stamping in the metal. Super cool box. Mine is used as a road box and lives in the back of my Jeep.

Also, it looks like yours has the covers that flip over the top shelf. Could you post some close up pics of the sides and corners of them. I'd like to bend up a couple that look like the originals.

Looks like a Park cantilever box, I saw at a local flea. Might go back next week and see if it still there

Yep came with the tools, but nothing I am too excited about: some drill bits, files, allen wrenches, tube benders, and the hand drill.

I will take some more detailed pictures of the covers tomorrow

I am planing to carry it around in the back of my Jeep as well

Looks like a Simonson GI contract. If so there will be a data stamp under the locking hasp stating the mfg. Type and dimension. The stamp is usually not very dep and is quite hard to see. This was the standard box that we used on the flight line and filled with tools appropriate to the aircraft that the mechanic worked on.
We also had a little two wheel carts that were fabricated to haul the boxes around. When filled the box weighed about 75 lbs.

when I was about 13-14 I had a box almost like that it was bigger and had wheels if I remember right it was white and orange or red and white wish I still had that box it would look great in the back of my Model A.
